3. Salient feature of the Research/Technology : e-knowledge Platform(bilingual) on Pulse Crops has been developed to share and popularize the available technologies of major pulse crops with farmer, extension workers and other stakeholders. The developed platform contains useful information in all the major pulse crops. This includes Varietal Information System, Disease and Pest Information (DPISP) and Weed Information System on  all major pulses.

5. How this Technology contributed to agricultural advancements or improved farmer practices : The e dalhangyanmanch has been accessedby 2.16 lakh users till date and the number continue to grow. The website provide easy and real time access to validated content on improved pulse production technologies to farmers, extension personnel, students and other stakeholders.
6. Details of Impact on farmer’s livelihood and agricultural practices: The ease in access to information on improved pulse production technologies is expected to contribute towards improved uptake of technologies among the users.

Chanamitra (Multilingual Android mobile app)

Developed in 2016 and extended in 2020

3. Salient feature of the Research/Technology : Chanamitra is android based mobile application designed for reaching the larger mass of chickpea growers of India with updated information, advisories and do how related to improved chickpea production. The app is developed in five languages namely Hindi, English, Marathi, Telgu and Kannad Further, iinformation related to market price and weathercan be easily accessed by farmers. Offline information panel in the app is created along with online panel in the panel.

How this Technology contributed to agricultural advancements or improved farmer practices : The app serves as a channel of information flow between the farmers and researchers that can be utilized by chickpea farmers for receiving solutions to the specific problems faced by them in fields. The queries can be made in video, voice or text format.
6. Details of Impact on farmer’s livelihood and agricultural practices: The mobile application provides easy access to information on improved chickpea production technologies to farmers of major chickpea growing states of the country.
