Functions

The IRC review the approved ongoing projects, monitor research activities round the year and is empowered to approve the new project proposal submitted by the scientists. The committee assess the new project proposals based upon the priority, mandate recommendations of the Research Advisory committee and QRT and as per research need of the pulses crop projected in Vision document of the Institute. Besides conducting field visits twice during Kharif and Rabi, the IRC holds annual review meeting in May-June every year for evaluating the results of ongoing Institute projects and externally funded projects. The new project proposals and PhD synopsis are also critically examined by the committee.
