The Institute has recently installed an advance automatic weather station with a state-of-art, robust and completely wireless climate monitoring system. The probes are capable of data acquisition at very high speed and transmit/upload signals through global system mobile or GPRS to the website www.fieldclimate.com. The incredible amount of climate data stored in the system are being utilized to monitor the long-term impact of climate change on pulses productivity, weather-based crop modeling, disease and pest incidence, irrigation scheduling and frost forecasting.
