The project envisages to digitalize the seed hub and enhancing breeder seed production data for pulses in proper format for record and compilation through created database with the objective to provide farmers access to quality seed production information for pulses. These data would be pooled and processed to provide/retrieve centre-wise, variety-wise, crop-wise quality seed production individually and in combination. After designing the database, a web-based information system has been developed for data analysis and retrieval. Contents on detail of Seed hub centres, Seed target, Seed production, Seed lifting, expenditure incurred, Seed balance etc. have been collected, analysed and stored in digital format. A user-friendly interface has been designed for data entry and updation.

Different links have been customized for development of digital platform. A prototype software has been developed for retrieval of seed hub information using WAMP(Windows, Apache, Mysql and PHP) technology. System architecture contains three-tier architecture viz., client-side interface layer, server-side application layer and database layer. System has 3 basic functional modules viz., Database Design Module, Data Management Module and Report Generation Module. Total 7 database tables (viz., User Master Table, Crop Master Table, Centre Master Table, Seed Category Table, Seed Target Table, Seed Production Table and Seed Distribution Table ) have been designed under Database Design Module. Database Management Module is used for data entry, updation, submission and analysis. Total 4 reports( viz., Crop-wise target/production report, Variety-wise target/production report, Year-wise target/production report and Target/Production pictorial report) were also generated in Report Generation Module. System provides the information needs of farmers, researchers, exporters and policy makers and also serve as an information highway for sharing seed information through digital platform.
