Contribution to the scientific advancement

  • Characterized and evaluated pathogenic potential of Nucleopolyhedrovirus isolate (HearNPV-IIPR05).
  • Identified plant volatile extracts having contact, fumigant and repellent activity against Callosobruchusanalis (F.).
  • Developed the laboratory facility plant extract bioassay against stored grain pests under DST-SERB Project.
  • Training and demonstration on grain storage practices and management of stored grain pests to farmers, extension and agricultural personals.

Current area of research

Pest management in pigeonpea and eco-friendly management of stored grain pests.
