Professional Information

Contribution to the scientific advancement

Reported Six effector genes in Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae, which are related with virulence. Xanthomonas outer protein based Type III effectors play an important role in suppressing the defence mechanism of host especially by XopN effector.

Current area of research

Pathology of Wilt and Dry root rot disease of chickpea.
